Qualification: CYQ Level3 Certificate in Teaching Mat Pilates
Before you attend your Pilates course, you will be required to complete a small range of multiple-choice assessments, which are intended to prepare you for your practical training.
During your Pilates training course, you will also complete the following assessments:
1. Pilates case-study
2. Progressive exercise programme
3. Theory exam (multiple choice)
4. Worksheets
5. Mat Pilates practical assessment
Prior to your Pilates course and during the distance learning phase, you will have regular telephone and email contact with your own personal tutor to ensure that you are progressing well with your studies.
Our online-learning system will provide you with instant feedback on your progress and performance; your support tutor will monitor your progress also so we really are always in touch with the elements of the course you may need additional support with. You will also be able to interact with fellow students in the community-learning forum within our E-learning system.
There are no formal pre-requisites for this qualification although we strongly recommend that you posses a recognised Level 2 Fitness Instructor Qualification.
In addition, you should also ensure that you have some experience of performing Pilates exercises or attending Pilates classes, to enable you to participate practically. This will give you a head start on the course and ensure that your technique is unlikely to impede your progress.
