The CYQ Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training is the 'must have' qualification for anyone wanting to become a Personal Trainer through recognised training and qualifications. Prior to attending your Personal Trainer course you will be required to complete a period of distance-learning which will teach you all of the knowledge you need to effectively participate in the practical elements of the course. You will then attend a short workshop at one of our nationwide course venues.

To become a Personal Trainer and enrol on this course you will need to be 16 or over and hold a recognised Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification.
The Fitness Instructor qualification can be in the discipline of Exercise to Music or Gym Instruction; we do however strongly recommend that students have previously completed Gym Instructor training.
This Personal Trainer course is worth 20 CPD points with the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs).
This award is also worth 6 credits within the Qualification Credit Framework or QCF.
Furthermore if you want to become a Personal Trainer with Level 3 REPs recognition, this qualification will give you that status.
Once you have successfully completed and passed your Personal Trainer course, you will also be able to purchase professional insurance so that you can practice as a qualified Personal Trainer.
