During your training course you will learn about the following:
Qualification: CYQ Level 3 Certificate in Exercise Referral
Before attending your course you will complete a range of multiple-choice assessments covering all of the medical conditions.
These assessments are intended to prepare you for the attendance dates of your exercise referral course and do not count towards your final grade.
During your exercise referral course you will also complete the following assessments:
1. Medications worksheet
2. Progressive exercise programme / case-study
3. Multiple choice theory exam
4. Case-Study VIVA / interview
5. Practical teaching
Prior to your exercise referral course attendance days you will need to complete a range of brief multiple-choice assessments.
These assessments will prepare you for your training course. Your personal tutor will work with you over the phone or via email to ensure that you are ready to attend your training days.
Additionally, you will be able to contact your tutor by phone or email as often as you like to help you with your studies.
Ideally you will hold a recognised Level 3 Advanced Fitness Instructor or Personal Trainer qualification in order to undertake this course.
If you have don’t have the Level 3 pre-requisite qualifications but do have a recognised Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification, you can enrol on the exercise referral course but will need to complete the anatomy and physiology module which will incur an additional cost of £75.00.
This qualification is worth 20 CPD points with the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs).
This programme is also has a cedit value of 30 in the Qualifications Credit Framework (QCF).
