Innervate Training Internship

The Innervate Internship is an intensive 6-month personal and professional development programme that will equip you with the experience and qualifications to practice as a fitness industry tutor. These qualifications include: 

• CYQ Level 3 Assessing in the Active Leisure Industry
• Level 3 Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector

In addition to the two qualifications above, you will also be required to shadow 3 training days on one of our training courses and undertake a 2 days of assessing and 2 days of teaching in a supportive role. During these days you will be mentored by one of our existing ‘tutors’ to help you develop your confidence and competence. Your mentor will provide you with written feedback on your progress which you will present in an internship portfolio at the end of your programme.

During the delivery of the 6 formal training days, you will receive personal tutorials with the course tutor to help you manage your workload and achieve the required standards.

Whilst shadowing and completing teaching and assessment sessions, you will receive continued verbal and written feedback on your performance which will form part of your Internship portfolio.

As an 'Innervate Intern' and for the duration of your Internship, you will have access to as much support as you need to help you successfully graduate from our Internship programme.

Ideally Internship students will posses the Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training and Interns will also be required to demonstrate extensive fitness industry experience (a minimum of 2 years).

In addition to the above pre-requisites, interns must also be able to demonstrate:

• Excellent communication skills
• A willingness to go the 'extra-mile'
• A commitment to continued professional development (CPD)
• Good IT skills
• A desire to help others
• A flexible approach to working

For those who excel in their internship, this cost will most certainly be recovered within a short timescale as our daily tutoring and assessing rate starts at £120.00 per day. This cost also represents a formal commitment for the intern to the Company to safeguard the quality of service we provide to our students.
