This course is specifically designed to provide you with a detailed and comprehensive knowledge in the area of nutrition for exercise.
Addressing and clarifying controversial issues and myths relating to dieting, eating disorders and disease prevention, this award will give you the confidence to be able to make nutritional recommendations to your clients based on facts not fallacies.

Qualification: Central YMCA Level 3 Nutrition for Physical Activity Award.
You will be required to complete a range of multiple choice distance learning assessments in our secure online learning system.
Once you have completed the distance learning assessments, you will be required to complete a multiple choice theory assessment. This can be done at any of our course venues throughout the UK at a date that is most convenient to you.
The final assessment of this award is the Nutrition and Weight Management case-study. The case-study will require you to analyse a client’s current eating habits and deficiencies, and produce a sound plan of action about how you can work with them to improve their dietary practices. You will receive lots of guidance and support from your personal tutor to help you in this process.
As a student of Innervate Training you will have your own personal tutor helping you throughout the duration of your studies.
You will have regular contact with your tutor and you may contact them at anytime- we really are with every step of the way!
The online learning system you will use throughout your gym instructor course will provide you with instant feedback on your progress. You will also have access to the community learning forum where you can interact with fellow students and the 'Learner Support Tutors'. When you post a question within the forum, we will endeavour to reply within 24 hours.
There are no pre-requisites for this qualification.
We do however recomend that candidates hold a level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instruction. This can be an Exercise to Music or Gym Instructor qualification.This qualification is worth 20 points with the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs)
This award is also worth 6 credits within the Qualification Credit Framework or QCF.
